Complex red fruits, cocoa and violets. From a terrific 2022 vintage, this wine will age gracefully for up to 10 years.
Vineyard Notes
The grapes from 2 different vineyard sites here in the Similkameen Valley. The first is a spectacular Syrah vineyard located on the Keremeos Bench perched above the river valley. This site features mature vines, river rock and ferocious winds. Harsh conditions produce delicious and concentrated grapes. The second is our incredibly hot Passion Pit vineyard site located at the base of Orofino mountain on the Cawston Bench.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand harvested and then gently destemmed and lightly crushed into 2 ton open
top fermenters where they were hand punched 2 times per day until completion of natural
fermentation. No commercial yeasts were used. The wine was then pressed into 500L oak puncheons and neutral French oak barrels to emphasize the premium fruit and emphasize elegance. No fining agents or filtration were used. Vegan friendly.
