Pinot Noir seems to like our site here on the Cawston bench. We blend 5 clones of Pinot Noir from various blocks of vines planted as far back as 1989. Inviting notes of violets, peppercorns, and cherry chocolate. This wine was aged in a combination of 10% new French oak & 10% concrete tank, with the remainder spending time in older or neutral barrels for 17 months. Wild fermented. Unfined and unfiltered, as always. Very limited quantities remaining!
This stunner of a wine was thoughtfully crafted and aged in the finest French oak barrels. Silky texture with fine tannins and notes of violets, black cherry and a hint of white pepper. Buy several bottles because you won't be able to resist drinking that first one or two straight away!
This vineyard was formerly a commercial gravel pit that doubled up as the local make-out spot for young lovers. We could use descriptors like luscious, spicy, juicy, sexy and lip-smacking to describe this gorgeous cabernet but that would be too easy.
